Image Editing Interface:
Since the second alpha release, Album Shaper has sported a nifty image editing interface.
The interface makes it possible to crop and invert your photos, view a slightly larger preview of them,
and in the future apply more advanced filters like red-eye reduction and auto-level
adjustments. In order to use the image editing interface, select a photo in a given collection and
click the Edit button below. The collection contents will be replaced with the
editing inface in which a larger view of the photo and its description are shown. In order to
apply a filter, click and drag to select a region of the photo, then click the appropriate filter button
below. Press Ctrl-A to select the entire image. Some filters may apply
themselves to the entire image if no region is selected (e.g., inversion), while others may do nothing or
complain (e.g., cropping). A series of filters may be applied to the image until the desired
outcome is achieved. At any time the original image may be recalled by clicking the
Reset button.
Once editing is complete, click the Return button to return to the collection
layout. If filters were applied, a dialog will ask you if you wish to proceed with the alterations. Once
applied, they may not be undone. Selecting Ok will apply the alterations to the image
and return, selecting Cancel will return with the image unaltered. It is also possible
to exit the editing interface by selecting a different collection.
