Sketsa SVG Editor is a cross platform vector drawing application based on SVG. Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is a graphics format and technology based on XML developed by W3C. With Sketsa, you can create vector graphics that can be scaled and printed at any resolution, without losing detail or clarity. You also get instant visual feedback on what you changed.
Sketsa features various tools for optimizing content creation, giving designers unsurpassed support for creativity. These tools include property palette, DOM editor, source editor, resources editor, SVG specific shape tools, transformation tools, and additional illustration tools. It uses SVG as a native file format.
Sketsa requires Java VM (JRE) 1.5 or higher (http://www.java.com/getjava).
As a cross platform application, Sketsa runs on any platform that support Java 1.5

To install the product, please do the following:
Mac OSX: You can try the Mac OSX installer (experimental) which is available at http://www.kiyut.com/products/download.html or you can follow the instruction below.
- unzip the file
- on Microsoft Windows double click setup.exe or setup.jar
on Linux/Unix run setup, if necessary chmod +x setup to make it executable
on Mac OSX run the Java setup by clicking on the setup.jar
other platform type "java -jar setup.jar"- follow the on screen instruction
Important: uninstall or remove the previous version if exist, simply delete the folder will be fine. Or you need to install in different folder.
To run the product after install:
- on Microsoft Windows just run Sketsa from Desktop Shortcut or Start Menu - All Programs - Kiyut - Sketsa
on Mac OSXon other platform run [INSTALL-DIR]/bin/sketsa, if necessary chmod +x sketsa to make it executable
- open the Terminal program (inside Applications folder - Utilities)
- type "cd [INSTALL-DIR]/bin/" eg: cd /home/user-name/Kiyut/Sketsa/bin/
- type "./sketsa"
- or you can just run Sketsa by double click the file sketsa at "[INSTALL-DIR]/bin/sketsa" eg: /Applications/Kiyut/Sketsa/bin/sketsa and choose open with terminal
- enjoy the product
